RIPCO sleeps out on sidewalk for homeless youth

RIPCO Real Estate participated in Covenant House New York’s Real Estate Executive Sleep Out last Thursday, spending a night sleeping on a New York City sidewalk to raise money for homeless teens.

Mark Kaplan, Chief Operating Officer at RIPCO, Jessica Washington and Jack Winograd collectively raised over $13,000 for the nonprofit during the event. The three spent a chilly Manhattan night sleeping on a West 34th Street sidewalk in solidarity with the 4.2 million young people who experience homelessness each year.

The Real Estate Executive Sleep Out drew hundreds of industry professionals from companies across the tristate area. In total, they raised more than $431,000 for the youth at Covenant House.

Covenant House New York provides residential services to homeless, runaway and exploited youth. The nonprofit serves nearly 1,800 young adults aged 16-24 annually with an operating budget of over 24 million dollars.
