Cushy spot for Huntington cannabis dispensary

Long Island’s newest medical cannabis dispensary has set up shop in a former mattress store.

Remedy Long Island opened in Huntington Station on Wednesday.

The 5,000-square-foot dispensary is located at 277 Walt Whitman Road, a space formerly occupied by a Fortunoff Mattress store.

Remedy, owned by Chicago-based Cresco Labs, offers a variety of cannabis medicine, including vape pens and cartridges, oral tinctures, capsules and topical creams. The company also has locations in Brooklyn, Rockland County and Oneida County.

In a company statement, Cresco Labs President Joe Caltabiano said the staff at Remedy has been “trained by some of the leading cannabis experts in the country on the types of cannabis strains, delivery methods and what medicinal benefits are unique to them.”

Remedy Long Island is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
