AARP offers free entrepreneur workshop

More and more new businesses are being started by people age 50 and over and AARP is offering a free series of workshops aimed at assisting them to succeed.

Called Level-Up Entrepreneur Workshops, the series, which begins Saturday, Oct. 26, runs for six weeks and is hosted by SpringBoard Incubators at 50 Clinton St. in Hempstead.

Attendees at the two-hour workshops will learn about access to information, organizations and resources required to start-up, establish and/or grow their business.

Though the workshop series is free for AARP members and their guests, those participating must attend all six workshops.

SpringBoard, which provides collaborative work spaces for startups, aims to bolster workforce development on Long Island with business workshops and community events. The organization also hosts both youth and adult STEM workshops, robotics courses and a coding academy.

For more information and to register for the workshop visit aarp.cvent.com/Entrepreneurs.
