Antique sale to benefit historical society and museum
The Huntington Historical Society is teaming up with the Whaling Museum in Cold Spring Harbor to hold two outdoor antique sales later this month.
The two organizations will take turns hosting a variety of antique and collectibles dealers selling everything from antique jewelry, small furniture, silver coins, badges, vintage advertising and more.
The Huntington Historical Society’s antique sale will be held on Saturday, Oct. 17 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Kissam House at 434 Park Ave. in Huntington. The rain date is Sunday, Oct. 18.
The following week, the Whaling Museum at 301 Main St. in Cold Spring Harbor hosts its antique sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24, with a rain date of Sunday, Oct. 25.
Proceeds from the events will help both organizations recover losses from their respective closures and help keep staff employed to work on planning both virtual and in-person events and education programming.
