New curbside pickup station opens in Huntington Village

Several Huntington Village restaurants are trying a new method to facilitate curbside pickup.

A special area has been set up in front of The Paramount on New York Avenue, allowing customers to order food from a number of local restaurants and then park their car in a designated spot for curbside pickup.

The restaurant owners hope the idea will help support local businesses while encouraging contactless pickup during the winter months, according to Adam Ellis, marketing director for The Paramount and its sister restaurant, bar and art space Spotlight.

In addition to the restaurants’ usual pickup options, the new curbside service is being offered from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from noon to 10 p.m. on weekends.

The restaurants currently participating in the program are Spotlight, Ella’s, TOA, Meehan’s, Oaxaca, Mission Taco, Soul Brew, Portofino, Parea and Honu.
