Bohemia firm donates 10,000 masks to town

Liberty Masks, a Bohemia-based supplier of personal protective equipment, has donated 10,000 face masks to the Town of Islip’s Public Safety Division and Office of Personnel.

“We are proud to be here and offer our products, which are made in America, to our communities,” Sue Bhasin, senior sales representative for Liberty Masks, a woman-owned business, said in a written statement.

Tony D’Amico, Islip’s commissioner of public safety, said his department has been providing masks to local nursing homes and veterans’ organizations, but in limited quantities.

“It’s so important to have these masks, so that we can ensure that our loved ones are wearing them as well,” D’Amico said in the statement.
