New game arcade opens in Bay Shore Mall

A new place to play has opened at the Westfield South Shore Mall in Bay Shore.

High Score Pinball Arcade is located in a 3,700-square-foot space that is packed with more than 40 pinball machines.

The new arcade is the brainchild of Melissa Cerquin, a 29-year-old entrepreneur from Levittown who is also a fan of arcade games.

High Score boasts a wide variety of pinball games, some that date back 50 years. Instead of requiring a bunch of quarters to play, patrons at High Score are charged by the time they spend: $10 per half-hour, $15 per hour and $25 for an all day pass.

To adhere to COVID-19 safety protocols, the machines at High Score are safely distanced from each other and capacity is currently limited to 25 percent.
