Mother’s Day shopping event supports LI nonprofit
During the month of May, shopping at some local businesses will benefit Long Island Against Domestic Violence.
Participating businesses include Betsy’s Baskets, Big Dream Executive Coaching, Kat Divone Wellness, Clean Mind Clean Soul, The Cookie Shop, Granola Me, Inner Source Health, Life Island and Lotus Pond Art on Etsy.com, Mary Kay Cosmetics, Pampered Chef, Phyfe Photography and Pure Mamography.
Each of the participating businesses will donate a portion of their sales to the LIADV nonprofit.
In its nearly 45 years, L.I. Against Domestic Violence has been a beacon of hope for those suffering from all forms of abuse at the hands of an intimate partner in Suffolk County. Each year, LIADV serves over 9,000 adults, teens and children through a wide range of services, including Safe Harbor Shelter, 24-hour hotline, Court and Precinct Advocacy Services and Counseling and Vocational Services.
