Rebranded pet business adding doggie daycare

A new doggie daycare is now part of a rebranded pet business in Nassau County.

The renamed Dan’s Pet Care was formerly known as Dan’s Dog Walking and Pet Sitting. The rebrand better reflects the enhanced services offered by the company, which not only includes dog walking and pet sitting, but also transportation services, grooming, dog adventures, training, boarding and daycare.

Owner Dan Reitman founded the company in 2009 and the uptick in the adoption of pets during the COVID pandemic has made him busier than ever. A former veterinary technician, Reitman has 40 employees and is seeking to hire 40 more.

The new daycare is slated to open soon at 10 Shore Road in Glen Cove.

“People love their animals and are willing to do whatever it takes to provide  the best care for their dog or cat,” Reitman said in a written statement. “Pet owners are demanding services. Our new name change reflects that. We do just about everything.”
