NPD Group partners with Habitat for Humanity

NPD Group, a national business research and consulting firm, announced a partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Long Island.

The Port Washington-based company will be a corporate sponsor in Habitat’s construction of a home in Huntington Station. NPD and Habitat kicked off their partnership at a wall-raising ceremony at the job site, which was attended by NPD executives, Habitat for Humanity board members and staff and the future new homeowner.

In the coming weeks, hundreds of NPD employees will volunteer their time to bring the architectural plans to life and create a place to call home for a family in need.

“Long Island has been home to NPD for over 30 years, and throughout this time we have been committed to giving back to our community,” Karyn Schoenbart, CEO at NPD, said in a company statement. “We are thrilled to partner with Habitat for Humanity on this important mission to improve our neighborhoods and the lives of the people living in them.”

Lee Silberman, CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Long Island, said the nonprofit’s goal is to inspire hope for families and help them to build a better life for themselves and their loved ones.

“We are excited today to celebrate the wall-raising with our partner, the NPD Group, and acknowledge their generous sponsorship gift and commitment to roll up their sleeves in support of our life-changing work at our latest construction project in Huntington Station.”
