A three-dimensional exhibit featuring the works of one of the world’s most famous artists opens in Westbury next month.
Described as a sensory extravaganza, “Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience” will be presented at the Samanea New York mall at 1500 Old Country Road from Friday, Feb. 3 through Sunday, April 2.
Produced by Paquin Entertainment, the show has been a popular traveling exhibition, having sold more than 4 million tickets globally. Guests witness more than 300 iconic Van Gogh masterpieces, including such classics as “The Starry Night,” “Sunflowers,” and “Café Terrace at Night,” as well as many revealing self-portraits.
Featuring three separate areas, including an Education Room, Waterfall Room and Immersive Experience Room, Van Gogh’s paintings appear on projection-swathed walls inviting guests to immerse themselves into the detail of his work and be enveloped in his ever-shifting, swirling and colorful flowers, cafes and stunning landscapes. In addition, the artist’s own dreams, thoughts and words are set to a symphonic score driving a unique narrative experience.
Prices start at $45.99 for adults and $29.99 for children (ages 5-15), plus ticketing fees. For more info and tickets visit: VanGoghLongIsland.com
