Valley Stream mall hosts prom event with merchants and students

The Green Acres shopping complex in Valley Stream celebrated prom season in style last week with its Prom Event.

The celebration, held on Saturday, April 25, was filled with fashion, music, and excitement to help students get prom-ready.

The program included a live fashion show showcasing styles from Windsor and Raphael, highlighting the latest prom trends, from elegant dresses to sharp suits. Student models from the Valley Stream Central High School District brought local flair to the runway, while special guest stylist, The Wardrobe Therapist, provided expert insight and energy throughout the show.

The first 50 guests received complimentary Prom Survival Kits, filled with must-have essentials for the big night, while the first 100 attendees received a free bowtie courtesy of Raphael. The celebration also included a raffle giveaway, where lucky winners received a free dress from Windsor and a suit from Raphael.

The event also featured a DJ, giveaways, and light refreshments, with treats provided by mall favorites Black Pearl Bubble Tea and Granny’s Table.
