Annual Free Day of Dentistry offers veterans complimentary dental care in Mount Sinai
Dental365 in Mount Sinai will be offering complimentary dental care to veterans on Sunday, November 8 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. as part of the dental clinical organization’s annual Free Day of Dentistry for Veterans in honor of Veterans Day.
Veterans will receive free cleanings, x-rays, and comprehensive examinations courtesy of Dental365’s dentists, specialists, hygienists, assistants, and support staff.
“America would not be what it is today without our veterans and their service to our nation,” said Dr. Scott Asnis, founder and CEO of Dental365. “We are proud to help them maintain their oral health as a small token of our gratitude.”
Dental365’s Free Day of Dentistry for Veterans program began as an idea from a longtime team member whose father, a veteran, struggled for years to access affordable dental care. After joining the organization and sharing her story with Asnis, they began to work toward a solution.
“Dr. Asnis saw potential in the idea and encouraged us to explore what giving back could look like,” said Jessica Colón, chief of staff, who helped launch the initiative. “When we realized we could use our offices, staff, and partnerships to serve veterans directly, everything clicked. We opened our doors one Sunday—and people lined up outside before we even started. That’s when we knew we could make a real difference.”
Since then, the organization has expanded the event across multiple states, partnering with vendors such as Henry Schein and other dental suppliers to provide materials. Each year, veterans come in for everything from cleanings and x-rays to extractions and deep cleanings—often their first dental visit in years.
“Our approach to dental care ensures every treatment is informed by the latest advancements in oral health and wellness, allowing us to focus on patient experience and clinical outcomes,” said Asnis. “We empower clinicians with innovative tools, collaborative support, and ongoing education to continuously elevate patient outcomes and redefine excellence in dental care.”
