Lidl to cut ribbon on new Selden store

Supermarket chain Lidl will hold a grand opening celebration for its new store in Selden next week.

Lidl will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, Feb. 24 at the new store at 211 Middle Country Road.

During the grand opening, Lidl will donate 50 cents to the John Theissen Children’s Foundation, which raises money for Long Island kids in need, for every new myLidl member who signs up and sets Selden as their home store.

The first 100 customers at the Selden grand opening will receive special gift cards ranging from $5 to $100 each. A Lidl food truck will also be on hand so customers can sample snacks and juice.
