Town launches first-ever field hockey camp

Kids in the Town of Hempstead can now take a swing at learning the sport of field hockey.

The town is hosting its first-ever field hockey camp next week at Oceanside Park. The camp kicks off Monday, July 19 and runs through Thursday, July 22.

Open to kids of all skill levels ages 8 to 14, the cost to register is $40 per child, with a sibling rate of $35 for any additional youth camp registrants from the same family. 

Camp participants must bring their own equipment to the sessions, including a field hockey stick, shin guards, goggles and a protective mouthpiece.
