Bond Vet donation to support animal shelters in Ukraine

Bond Vet, a chain of veterinary care clinics with a location in Garden City, will donate all of its profits from sales of pet treats to the International Fund for Animal Welfare, an organization that is providing critical support to animal shelters in Ukraine.

Funds raised from the purchases of Lucky Dog and Lucky Cat treats between March 14 and April 14 will provide food, medical care, disaster relief, and emergency support for animal shelters to protect animal welfare and the welfare of the care providers.

The treats can be purchased online on the Bond Vet Swag Shop or in-person at any Bond Vet location.

“At Bond Vet we will always stand for peace and are committed to doing our part in making the world a safer place for animals and those who love them,” Olivia Wicik, director of people at Bond Vet, said in a company statement. “We have been so inspired by the work happening on the ground in Ukraine to get animals and their families to safety and wanted to contribute to those efforts. We truly believe pets are family and our heart goes out to the Ukrainian people during these immensely difficult times.”

IFAW is a global nonprofit helping animals and people thrive together, working in more than 40 countries around the world. The organization rescues, rehabilitates and releases animals, while restoring and protecting their natural habitats.
