Brazilian steakhouse chain opens first Long Island location

Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse has opened its first Long Island restaurant in a Carle Place shopping center.

The new eatery is located in a newly built space at 235 Old Country Road, joining other restaurant tenants Passione, Kisoro Asian Sushi, Five Guys, and Red Lobster.

Fogo de Chão is a Brazilian steakhouse and bar with an expansive dining room and open kitchen view of the churrasqueria grill, so visitors can watch gaucho chefs practice the centuries-old cooking technique of Southern Brazil.

The Fogo de Chão chain has more than 50 locations throughout the U.S. and Brazil.
