Credit union funds holiday shopping spree for 100 kids

Bethpage Federal Credit Union and the Target Foundation helped fund a holiday shopping spree for 100 children with the Hempstead-based nonprofit EAC Network.

The children are part of the nonprofit’s Chance to Advance program, which aims to help develop the educational, artistic, athletic, and cultural talents of children in foster care.

Each child was able to spend $100 each on toys for the holidays at the Target location in Farmingdale on Dec. 11. More than 30 employee volunteers from Bethpage Federal helped the kids find the toys on their wish lists.

EAC Network celebrated its 50th anniversary this year.
