Adelante organizes relief effort to aid Puerto Rico

Adelante of Suffolk County is seeking donations to provide relief for victims impacted by the recent earthquake in Puerto Rico.

Adelante, a member organization of Family Residences and Essential Enterprises (FREE), is collecting donations of various essentials at its Brentwood office next Saturday, Jan. 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Long Islanders are asked to bring donations of bottled water, first aid kits, hygiene products, diapers, baby food and non-perishable food. Other suggested items include batteries, flashlights, new socks and underwear, as well as blankets, pet food, paper towels and toilet paper.
