Blue Point celebrates women with free week-long event

Blue Point Brewing has extended its annual Nancy Brew Scavenger Hunt to a full week in celebration of International Women’s Day on March 8.

This year, 25 women-led businesses are participating in the event that runs from Sunday, March 7 through Saturday, March 13.

To join in the free scavenger hunt, you must visit eight of the participating businesses during the week to receive a Nancy Brew Pint Glass and a pint of beer to fill it with. Many of the participating businesses will also be offering discounts available to the event’s scavenger hunters.

As part of the celebration, Blue Point has brewed “Nancy Brew,” a chamomile honey wheat beer, available in its Patchogue Brewpub.

The goal of this event is to generate awareness and potential revenue to small businesses run by women.

Among the participating businesses in the scavenger hunt are several Patchogue locations such as The Betterman Distillery, Mademoiselle Patiserrie, Say More Boutique, Tranquility Within, Smallcakes Cupcakery, The Cheese Patch, the Patchogue-Medford Library, and of course, Blue Point Brewing.

Other businesses participating in the event are CrossFit Babylon, Down the Rabbit Hole in Sayville, 27A Brewing in Lindenhurst, Po’Boy Brewing in Port Jefferson, NoFoDoCo in Mattituck and Bay Shore, Jackson’s in Commack, Morrison’s in Plainview, and What’s For Dinnah in Sound Beach. Brooklyn shops Picnic, Disco, Talea Beer and the Someday Bar are also part of the hunt, as well as online merchants Enjoy the Ride Records, Made by Taylor Victoria, KG Health + Fitness and The Album Shoppe.

To sign up for the event, visit the Nancy Brew Scavenger Hunt page on Eventbrite.
