Jake’s 58 offers rewards for veterans and first responders

Jake’s 58 Casino and Hotel is offering a new reward for its Players Club members called the Hero Card.

Suffolk OTB, which owns and operates the Islandia casino, created the card as a ‘thank you’ to veterans, active-duty military, first responders and hospital workers. Hero Card benefits include top-tier card rewards of 25 percent discounts on the hotel and restaurants and free valet parking.

“These men and women risk their lives to keep us safe, and we want to give them nothing but the best treatment and highest rewards, from the moment they walk in the door to the moment they leave,” Suffolk OTB Vice President and COO Anthony Pancella said in a written statement.

The Hero Card is just one more way for Suffolk OTB to give back to the community. Suffolk OTB recently began a program to assist local charities by allowing patrons the option to “round down” to assist local charities.

The ATM machines at Jake’s 58 now allow patrons the option to give a portion of cashed-in tickets to charity. Its first charity partners are EAC Network, Island Harvest and Long Island Cares.
