Playa Bowls opens in Miller Place

Long Island’s first Playa Bowls eatery opened in Miller Place this weekend.

The Playa Bowls store is located in the Marshall’s Shopping Center at 347B Route 25A. 

The menu at Playa Bowls features a variety of bowls created with acai, pitaya, coconut, oatmeal and kale and filled with combinations of fruit, granola nuts, honey and other toppings. 

The Miller Place Playa Bowls is the first of several locations planned for Long Island, including one at 2259 Merrick Road in Merrick that’s expected to open soon.

Playa Bowls was founded in 2014 by Jersey Shore natives Robert Giuliani and Abby Taylor. Starting with its first location in Belmar, N.J., the company has grown to nearly 130 locations in 19 states with dozens more in development.
