Country House Benefit to be held in Mill Neck next month

Preservation Long Island will hold its Country House Benefit on June 6 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

This year’s event will be held at Hayfields House, a spectacular private residence in Mill Neck, designed in 1926 by architect Bradley Delehanty and beautifully preserved by the Tytel family.

Hayfields House was designed for Philip A. S. Franklin (1871-1939), president of the International Mercantile Marine Company, the parent company of the White Star Line, which built the Titanic.

The benefit welcomes more than 200 guests from across Long Island each year, and the event is expected to sell out quickly. Proceeds from the evening provide support for Preservation Long Island’s dynamic programming in the coming year, including its summer exhibition, “Wood and Water: Furniture on Long Island, 1660–1860.”
