Island Hopping

The American Ballet Theatre will make its first full company performance on Long Island at this year’s Staller Center Gala.

The new show will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 19 at the 110 Bingo Hall at 585 Broad Hollow Road.

The event will benefit veterans programs and services at the Association for Mental Health and Wellness.

The Babylon venue will be taking it to the streets with its upcoming presentation of the classic Broadway musical “West Side Story.”

The event is a fundraiser supporting Make-A-Wish of Metro New York.

The educational sessions are aimed at children, families and nature enthusiasts and teach the ancient process that was passed down by Native Americans to early colonists.

The clinic, for boys and girls ages 6 through 13, will be held on Saturday, Jan. 28.

Described as a sensory extravaganza, “Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience” at the Samanea New York mall runs from Friday, Feb. 3 through Sunday, April 2.

The money comes from the Assistance to Firefighters Grants Program funding administered by the Department of Homeland Security.

On Saturday, Feb. 4, the show will feature comedians Mike Cicoli, Ben Demarco and Nick Witmer.

Rosario Cassata and the Cassata Foundation donated more than $5,000 to provide 45 local children toys and gifts for the holiday.

The complex will be a mix of one- and two-bedroom apartments available for people earning between 30 percent and 95 percent of the area median income.

The ornaments by the students at Maplewood Intermediate School in Huntington were selected as part of the America Celebrates program.

Last year, the effort decorated more than half of Farmingville’s lamp posts and the chamber is aiming to get them all decked out this year.

The event, slated for 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 1, features tastings from local restaurants and rum cocktails.

The 2,400-square-foot garden provides fresh produce for 200 food insecure families each year and is also a place for hands-on instruction during the growing season.

The new eatery, located at 230 Jericho Turnpike, is slated to open on Thursday, Dec. 1.

The event aims to raise public awareness about ongoing preservation efforts at the Huntington Lighthouse.

In the weeks leading up to Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Adventure Park will release packages with savings up to 40% off regular prices.

The “Let’s Swing” show is scheduled for 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17 at the Sag Harbor venue.

The festival included a youth basketball clinic for 60 children and a question-and-answer session.
