“Swing for Hope” golf outing raises $180K for The Safe Center

The Safe Center, a Bethpage-based victim service organization, raised $180,000 at its annual “Swing For Hope” golf outing.

The event, held on Monday, June 10 at the Brookville Country Club in Glen Head, was chaired by Adam Dejak, TSCLI board member and national director of residential lending at Popular Bank. The fundraising outing was held to support victims and survivors of domestic violence, human trafficking and interpersonal abuse on Long Island.

“We are grateful to the golfers and other supporters of The Safe Center for recognizing the importance of our mission and our work with victims and survivors,” said Joshua Hanson, executive director of The Safe Center. “As long as our work continues to be needed, we will need the help of people who believe in survivors and want to help them walk the road to a full and fulfilling life.”
