Hempstead Town is hosting its first-ever field hockey camp next week at Oceanside Park. The camp kicks off Monday, July 19 and runs through Thursday, July 22.

The June 30 event to celebrate Pride Month was hosted by the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County and its 4-H Youth Development initiative.

Members of Central Islip Connect for Change constructed planter boxes and planted flowers at the Central Islip Recreation Center in an effort to spruce up the facility.
